Cage scientific management can protect water ecology
Guidelines for Feeding and Maintenance Management of Deep Sea Anti Wind and Wave Cages 1 When feeding in deep-sea anti wind and wave cages, the feeding method should be chosen at the upwind position to ensure that the bait spreads evenly with the water flow and improve the efficiency of bait utilization. When feeding for the first time, the principle of "small amount, slow" should be followed, and the response of the fish should be observed. When the fish gradually gather in the bait area and start feeding, the feeding amount can be appropriately increased to maintain stable feeding. After most of the fish have finished feeding, a small amount of feeding can be continued for a period of time to ensure that weaker or slower eating fish can also be fully fed, thereby reducing the impact of group competition on fish growth. 2. Adjust the feeding strategy according to the season. The feeding amount and time should be flexibly adjusted according to different seasons, fish growth stages, and water temperature changes. It is usually recommended to determine the daily feeding amount based on 3% -7% of the fish weight. The specific feeding time can refer to the following principles: • Spring and autumn: when the water temperature is low, it is recommended to feed from 8-9 am; • Summer: When the water temperature is high, feeding should be completed before the sun rises in the early morning to avoid the high water temperature affecting fish feeding Winter: When the water temperature drops below 4 ¡æ, fish enter a period of fasting and do not need to be fed. 3. Maintenance and cleaning of deep-sea anti wind and wave cages. During long-term use, the mesh will gradually attach floating organisms such as sludge, oysters, and sea squirts. These attachments not only affect the exchange efficiency of the net cage water, but may also lead to the inability to timely discharge metabolic waste and residual bait, resulting in a decrease in dissolved oxygen content in the water and an increased risk of fish diseases. Therefore, regular maintenance of the net cage is necessary, including: • Regularly lifting and drying the net: it is recommended to use a net lifting machine to lift and dry half of the net clothes every half month, or clean the net clothes through net testing to remove attachments such as oysters, sea squirts, etc., to prevent the hard shell from scratching the net clothes; • Replace the net cover: According to the size and growth stage of the fish, replace the net cover with a larger mesh every 1-2 months to ensure water circulation and fish activity space. The replaced mesh jacket should be thoroughly rinsed with a high-pressure water gun to remove dirt before being put back into use. Through scientific feeding management and regular maintenance, the production efficiency of deep-sea wind and wave resistant net cage aquaculture can be effectively improved, ensuring the healthy growth of fish, extending the service life of net cages, and reducing aquaculture risks.
